Allied Electronics Adds Its Full Components Inventory to New ECIA Part Search Web Site

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 26, 2011

The Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) announced today that the product line of Allied Electronics has been added to the associations new inventory search Web site, http://www.eciaauthorized.com. Only inventory from authorized distributors is displayed on the site. The site is the first of its kind to be industry-owned and managed.

Allied Electronics, Inc. is headquartered in Fort Worth, Tex. and maintains sales offices across the United States and Canada . With more than 2 million products in its inventory, Allied is able to meet the needs of a wide range of customers in a variety of businesses and industries.

ECIAs new part search Web site is a key component of the associations fight against counterfeit parts, providing customers with a secure location to find authorized products. The site only lists inventory that is genuine and backed by the manufacturers warranty, said ECIA President Robin Gray.

ECIAauthorized.com is the industrys safest parts inventory search engine, said Scott McLendon, Allieds Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. The information is always up-to-date, orders are placed directly with the distributors and no unauthorized sources are allowed. Were very happy to be a part of it and proud of the associations efforts to protect buyers from counterfeit components.

Allieds extensive authorized product line includes audio, video, RF and security devices, automation and control equipment and components, batteries, chemicals, adhesives, circuit protection, connectors, enclosures, racks, cabinets, ESD products, prototyping aids, fans, motors and thermal management, optoelectronics, lighting, passive components, pneumatics, power products, semiconductors, sensors, switches, relays, test and measurement devices, plus tools and hardware, wire and cable.

Search results on http://www.eciaauthorized.com are drawn from all participating distributors and displayed at random, based on search match and availability. This is a major difference from some search sites, which are influenced by advertising expenditures or sponsorships.

While inventory searches will be handled on the association Web site, sales will be completed through each distributors private site. Allied orders will be placed through http://www.allied.com. This is another benefit to users in that it eliminates the possibility of purchase data being captured and shared by unauthorized third parties.
