Barcode Software Package Introduces the Creation of Standards-Compliant Barcodes on Mobile Devices Using Web Fonts

ConnectCode, a leading provider of barcode software and fonts, today announced the release of a new version of ConnectCode Barcode Fonts. This version introduces breakthrough technology that allows standards-compliant barcodes to be created on both desktop and mobile devices using web fonts.
In the auto-id industry, it is well known that barcode fonts enable the highest quality barcodes that meet the strictest industry requirements to be created. When a font is printed, it rasters to the resolution of printer and will not be limited to the Dots per Inch (DPI) of devices screens.

This new version of Connect Barcode Fonts package also includes a wide variety of updates including support for the creation of barcodes in Microsoft SQL Server (Reporting Services). Both Report Definition Language (RDL) and Report Definition Language Client Side (RDLC) reports on SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 are supported. The .Net Dynamic Link Library (DLL) for creating barcodes has also been updated to support the .Net 4.0 Framework. The formulas for creating barcodes in Crystal Reports have also been further optimized and an updated barcode software imager that works on upcoming Windows 8 operating system is also included.
