Hauppauge, New York, May 8, 2006 Behlman Electronics Inc., known for its leadership in providing power products for industrial, commercial and military applications, has introduced the Behlman BL+25-1 single-phase-output frequency converter. The BL+25-1 is the latest in Behlmans BL+ Series of high power frequency converters, which have proven to be ultra-reliable for industrial product testing, precision avionic test, power conversion, ATE, bulk power and motor generator replacement.
The BL+25-1 is a low-cost, three-phase to single-phase, solid state unit that delivers clean, regulated high-power AC, while offering greater efficiency, higher reliability, easier installation and a significantly smaller footprint than the motor generators it is designed to replace.
As part of Behlmans proven BL+ Series, the BL+25-1 incorporates multi-phase input rectification and provides for low input current distortion. Input startup surges are reduced through the use of special soft start circuitry, and isolation is provided by the input transformer. Output voltage of 0 132 VAC, L-N is standard. Optional output transformers are available for other voltages. Standard output frequency is fixed at 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 400 Hz, and variable from 45 to 500 Hz.
Additional features include input electronic circuit breaker, short-circuit and thermal protection, and a constant current mode that automatically causes voltage foldback to provide maximum current without distorting the output waveform. The units also feature adjustable or fixed voltage and frequency, with three DMMs for setting and readout of volts, current and frequency.
Options available on the BL+25-1 include analog remote control, as well as a PAC2000 programmable controller with front panel pushbutton control, and an RS232 interface for remote control. Also available is the WF (Wild Frequency) option, for output frequency of 350 to 880 Hz. Price is approximately $ 31,000, and delivery is 90 days.
