Chevo Consulting, LLC Wins Two 2011 CPIC Forum Awards

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) March 11, 2011

The annual conference, held March 9 and 10, 2011 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, brings together government and industry professionals to learn about Federal CPIC trends, regulatory compliance issues, best practices, and other topics. Of the 13 awards, Chevo obtained two of the highest awards presented to the consulting industry (http://www.cpicconference.com/awards.html). Winners were nominated by clients and peers, based upon achievements in the CPIC field over the past year. The CPIC Forum Executive Steering Committee selected the award recipient for each category based upon the nomination that most highly satisfied the award criteria and had the greatest impact within the CPIC field.

Stacey Godlove, winner of the Industry CPIC Leadership Award, is a well-rounded CPIC practitioner and industry thought leader whose impact has been felt at both the agency and CPIC community level. She is an experienced CPIC professional serving a wide cross-section of federal agencies (IRS, DOL, DHS, NARA, and SEC), taking and advocating a comprehensive approach to CPIC, integrating it with Strategic Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Program/Project Management, and Performance Management.

I am proud that Stacey has been recognized by the CPIC Forum as an industry leader in Capital Planning and Portfolio Management, said Phil Sahady, President of Chevo. Stacey takes pride in staying abreast of industry trends and new legislation, and is the first to provide our clients the guidance and consultation they need to both comply with and be on the forefront of evolving CPIC requirements. This award is well deserved and is a testament to Staceys knowledge, leadership, and consulting skills.

Winners of the CPIC Alliance Award for Earned Value Management, Chevos IRS Customer Account Data Engine 2 (CADE 2) team implemented and customized their Schedule and EV Management (S&EVM) process to lead the program to better Earned Value Management. Taking a bottom-up approach, the Chevo team utilized their insight and lessons learned from various disciplines, including CPIC, portfolio management, schedule management, Earned Value Management (EVM), cost estimation, budgeting, and expenditure reporting to craft an S&EVM process to assist the IRS in improving management of the program and multiple contractors. Over the past few years, Chevo has refined and tailored its S&EVM process to fit the culture, embedded methodologies, standards, and legacy systems of the IRS. This process is utilized across four programs, including the IRS strategic top three: the Customer Account Data Engine (CADE), CADE 2, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) programs (the fourth is Enterprise Security Audit Trails (ESAT)).

Industry recognition and validation is an honor, and a tribute, to the hard work and dedication shown by this team, said Matt Rock, Account Manager to the CADE 2 team.
