Core Systems Showcases New and Innovative Products at AFCEA West 2012

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

AFCEAs West 2012 conference brought together the latest innovations in military-related technology last week in San Diego. Leading the market in rugged rackmount computers and displays, Core Systems debuted a variety of brand new, innovative products unmatched by any others in the show. From their rugged rackmount LCD line, Core Systems showcased their newly revised, bestselling G2 1U LCDwith an industry-leading 18 depth, the G2 is the shortest depth, lightest weight 1U rackmount LCD in the entire market. Core Systems also debuted their brand new 2U rackmount dual 19 display, the MLD-1920-RDS. Featuring dual side-by-side 19 LCD displays in a lightweight aluminum chassis with a short 20 depth, the robust dual display is an effective and reliable choice for mobile military rack applications.

Core Systems also showcased new products in their M-Raptor line of rugged rackmount computers. The M122 1U server is the only 1U rugged computer with six front removable hot-swap, shock-mounted hard drives with dual redundant power supplies. As with all of the M-Raptor series servers, the M122 meets or exceeds military standards MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-901D. Core Systems also debuted the newest revision of their M415 rugged 4U server. The 4U system now offers up to 12TB of removable hot-swap storage and allows for an impressive twelve full-length, full-height feature cards to be installed, all held in place by Core locks.

One of the most talked about rugged computing products at the show was the new M223 Server. The M223 is a rugged version of a Dell R610 or R710 server. Core has managed to ruggedize a Dell server to withstand deployment onto a Navy ship. With standard features that include completely milled all-aluminum construction, shock-mounted hard drives, and dual redundant hot-swap power supply modules all in a 2U height with an overall depth of 23 and weight of 33lbs or less, the rugged 2U M223 was a major hit of West 2012. Core Systems was the only rugged computing company to showcase several new innovative systems and displays at the show. The Core engineering team was pleased at all of the positive feedback that was received during AFCEA West 2012.
