Double Decker PCB Connectors for High Density Applications

(PRWEB) February 9, 2005

Camden Electronics has launched a new range of double-decker PCB connectors designed for use in applications where a high density of connections is required.

Suitable for use in a wide range of electrical and lighting applications, the new CTB9350DD series connectors provide fast and easy interconnection between a printed circuit board and cables. Available in two and three pole versions, the new connectors are end stackable and interlock to allow any number of poles to be built up to customer specifications.

The double decker construction enables twice the number of poles to be connected in the same space as single decker versions. Pins are available in straight or 90 deg enabling cables to be connected in either orientation. Two versions are available with 5 and 5.08mm pitch respectively.

With VDE, IMQ and UL approvals pending, Camden Electronics’ new PCB connectors are moulded from UL94V0 green PA68 and feature tin-plated copper contacts rated at 12A for 450/750V operation. Insulation resistance is >= 5M ohms and dielectric strength is >= 2500V AC. PCB mounting hole diameter is 1.6mm. Maximum operating temperature is 125 deg C.
