Equalis Introduces Powerful R Module

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) May 08, 2012

Equalis, the leading provider of numerical analysis, visualization and simulation solutions for engineers and scientists, built on the Scilab open source platform, today announced the availability of its R integration module. R is used primarily by the statistical community for advanced data analysis and research in statistical methodology. Equalis solution is used by engineers and scientists for algorithm-centric data analysis and includes an extensive array of toolboxes. This new module provides Scilab and R users the capability to leverage the synergistic functionalities of each platform directly from within one environment.

Equalis provides premier software modules on top of the Scilab open source platform and industrial grade support through subscription programs for one low price; typically 90% less than purchasing equivalent software applications. Training, deployment and consulting services are also available for a fast start. Equalis premier modules include: Communications, Connectivity, Control and Power Systems, Fixed Point, Instrument Control, Neural Networks, Signal Processing, SoftCruncher (performance enhancement), and many more.

The Equalis R Module builds on the work of the original authors: Bixia Liu, Jinding Wang, and Xu Minghua.

R is a language for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project and provides a wide variety of statistical techniques; linear and nonlinear modeling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, and classification.

The Equalis R Module is included in the Equalis Pro solution and is available with prices starting at just $ 495 per user. Existing Equalis Pro and Pro Plus subscribers can download this new module from the companys customer portal at no additional charge.

With the introduction of our newest product, the R Module, we are enabling customers to leverage the best functionality each analysis platform has to offer, without forcing developers into a difficult tradeoff between Scilab and R, said Carmine Napolitano, CEO and Co-founder, Equalis. This new capability further expands the addressable problems our solutions can solve for our customers while enabling them to work in a single environment thats familiar to them, therefore maximizing productivity.
