Exadel and WAC Partner to Offer Carrier Billing Services to Mobile App Developers

Concord, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2012

Exadel, a leading global software engineering company, and the Wholesale Applications Community (WAC), a not-for-profit organization serving the global telecommunications industry, today announced a partnership that will help developers and operators generate new revenues from mobile applications. Users of Exadels Tiggzi Mobile App Builder, a cloud-based cross-platform development environment, can now easily utilize WACs in-app billing API to offer in-app billing capabilities without the need for a credit card or PayPal account.

The partnering of Exadel and WAC continues productivity enhancements to the Tiggzi development ecosystem, which are designed to help developers create finished fully-functional mobile applications that can be deployed on any handheld device. By significantly reducing development efforts and costs, Tiggzi slashes time to market and enables users to maximize revenue from their mobile applications.

“WAC is committed to providing API solutions to better serve the developer community, and Exadel’s platform using the WAC in-app billing API is complementary in generating new revenue streams, said Peters Suh, CEO of WAC.

WAC is a not-for-profit organization made up of the worlds largest mobile phone network operators and manufacturers and is dedicated to making life easier for developers to create and distribute compelling digital content. The WAC Payment API eliminates the need for users to enter a credit card number or password. The consumer only has to confirm the purchase on their mobile device and it will be put on their phone bill. This ease-of-use results in higher conversion rates and therefore more revenues.

The WAC consortium has enabled a single API which provides access to services across this groups member telecom partners, making it easy for developers to create the functionality they and their clients need, said David Schoenbach, Exadel Vice President Product Management. The WAC in-app billing API leapfrogs the Tiggzi developer community into new revenue opportunities across WACs global network operator base.

Exadel will be demonstrating its innovative Tiggzi Mobile App Builder at the Mobile World Congress taking place February 27 through March 1, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. Attendees can see Tiggzi in action at the WAC booth (Hall 7, Stand 7C82) and at Exadels booth in the Embedded Mobile Devices Pavilion (Hall 2.1, Stand 2.1A59). A reception, open to Mobile World Congress attendees, will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 5-7 PM in the WAC booth, co-sponsored by WAC and Exadel.

Tiggzi is available for free, with nothing to download or install. Pro and Standard editions are also available. For additional information on Tiggzi and package options designed to fit your specific needs visit http://www.tiggzi.com.
