Introducing JDashboard for Advanced Data Visualization

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) June 07, 2011

Jinfonet Software, a leader of embedded java reporting tools, today introduced JDashboard, a new reporting dashboard for advanced data visualization and interaction. JDashboard will enable end users to easily create and drill into custom dashboards, allowing decision makers to make better informed business choices.

As the trend of rich internet applications grows, users are demanding better and easier-to-use visualization from business intelligence reporting. JDashboard is one of our initiatives in response to this enterprise development, said Dr. Bing Yao, president of Jinfonet Software.

End users can intuitively interact with their corporate data by instantly changing chart types and styles in any of the 40+ chart types that JDashboard supports, each with capabilities to drill down to details and zoom with on-screen filters and slider controls. JDashboards component synchronization gives end users the option to apply a filter or interaction to a single chart or sync to the entire dashboard of components.

JDashboard has a new Component Library that users can pull from to easily create their own dashboards. The Component Library can be set up to contain JReports reports, report components and web controls. In addition, the Component Library can easily integrate third party components like Google Maps and other custom-developed components. End users can intuitively drag and drop the components into a dashboard and the system will automatically format the layout in a plug-and-play fashion. For developers, JDashboard also provides a precise layout option to design sophisticated custom dashboards.

JDashboard supports both AJAX and Flash components, which gives developers the option to deploy in either format. The AJAX support allows highly functional data visualization to extend equally to all platforms, without depending on the Flash support.

All dashboards are built on top of JReports robust reporting functions and a scalable server architecture. With JReports fully distributed cluster server, JDashboard can support any number of end users. A new in-memory data cache function permits reports to minimize data access and share information, thereby quickening performance and report time.
