Kozio Announces the Release of Version 2.0 of Host Tools for their Engineering and Manufacturing Circuit Board Test Suites

Longmont, CO (PRWEB) March 31, 2009

Kozio(R), Inc. (http://www.kozio.com), the leading provider of configurable embedded in-circuit board functional test and diagnostics, today announced the latest release of ValidationAssistant(TM), SequenceRunner(TM) and SequenceReporter(TM); applications that offer interactive troubleshooting, one-button testing and report generation for engineering debug and volume testing of processor-based circuit boards.

Version 2.0 of Kozio’s Host Tools provides enhanced reliability and performance for the entire Design and Manufacturing In-circuit Test & Diagnostic Suites. The release includes:

1. Floating Licenses that provide unlimited flexibility in Kozio Host Tool execution, allowing single or multiple instances of Kozio applications to run on any PC in the network. Version 2.0 creates a license file that serves multiple software licenses from one license server machine to other machines over the network. Kozio Host Tool applications can run on any computer in the network, subject to the maximum number of licenses purchased. Customers can purchase an appropriate mix of licenses, (for example, 3 SequenceRunner, 4 ValidationAssistant, and 1 SequenceReporter), that can be accessed from a single license server and run by any project or production engineer, manager or operator.

2. Support for multiple Devices Under Test (DUT), which allows parallel processing of testing in environmental chambers or high volume production environments.

3. Enhanced capabilities in the Command Line Interface (CLI) allowing the execution of sequence files and logging of the results to the reporting database. SequenceReporter now has full access to CLI test results for report generation.

4. Improved functionality of all Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).

Kozio’s Validation Assistant provides Development Engineers with remote interactive hardware debugging and fault isolation, which allows an engineering team to complete design validation in record time. For both manufacturing and development engineering, SequenceRunner and SequenceReporter automate testing and provide the coverage required to confidently ship electronic devices.

“Kozio is committed to providing enhanced features to our diagnostic and test platform,” stated Joe Skazinski, president and CEO of Kozio. “Version 2.0 of our Host Tools adds significant functionality that provides our customers with confidence in the functionality of their embedded processor-based products. Kozio continues to provide the leading solution for in-circuit test and debug.”
