Kozio, Inc. Introduces Two New Products; Colorado embedded systems software developer saves customers time, money with ready-to-run manufacturing test and self-test software for shipping products

(PRWEB) July 12, 2004

Kozio, Inc., a developer of embedded systems software, has introduced two new products that provide end-of-production-line manufacturing test and power-on-self-diagnostic test capabilities for manufactured products that use embedded single-board computer systems.

“These new products extend and compliment our capability to save customers money by providing easy-to-use test solutions customized to their particular needs,” notes Kozio President Joseph Skazinski. “Our ready-to-run products, affordable licensing and unmatched support saves our clients and their staff valuable engineering time and effort.”

Kozio’s new products include:

-Kozio kMfgTestTM, which provides an automatic system-level test application designed specifically for the manufacturing test environment, providing end-of-production-line testing for finished products. The application is delivered fully ported to a customer’s custom embedded design and ready for programming into non-volatile memory used to assemble production-ready boards, enhancing test coverage of Integrated Circuit Test (ICT) for minimal additional cost.

-Kozio kPOSTTM, a comprehensive test application that provides diagnostic self-testing of an embedded single-board computer every time it is powered on. This production-ready software ships as a part of manufactured products, providing all low-level initialization code required to boot, execute test code and launch a final application.

Both products support numerous Intel® XScale® and PowerPCTM processor architectures, and test the processor, cache, busses, DMA operations, memory (NVRAM, SDRAM, Flash, etc.), Serial, Ethernet, USB, 12C, interrupts, timers and more.

These products complement the company’s initial product, Kozio kDiagnosticsTM. This fully functional, expandable embedded diagnostics application validates hardware designs on all major processors, including Intel® XScale® and PowerPCTM, saving users months of effort.

Kozio delivers ready-to-run software based on its advanced Flash-N-RunTM technology, delivering images fully ported, fully integrated and built for customers’ custom hardware. Kozio products require no additional drivers or coding prior to use – users simply download the image into memory on the target processor-based platform and begin execution.
