Ohmite Manufacturing Announces New C Series Extension for TO-220 and TO-264

Arlington Heights, IL (PRWEB) October 05, 2011

Ohmite Manufacturing Company, a leading provider of resistors for high current, high voltage and high energy applications, announces that the Ohmite C Series Heatsink is now available for TO-220 and TO-264 devices.

In March, Ohmite introduced the C Series Heatsink system with integrated camming clips to secure TO-247 devices. With three lengths provided, the C Series is capable of mounting one, two or three devices and features a degreased or black anodized finish. This powerful heat sink provides tool and fixture free assembly operation, large surface areas and small space occupation. It is the ideal heatsink for high power density and small size (1U or 2U) electronic packaging with forced convection cooling.

Due to great market response and customer requests for versions that would mount TO-220 and TO-264 devices, Ohmite introduced two new product extensions. One, the C220, can handle one, two or three TO-220 devices (either Ohmite TBH or TCH resistors or active components). The second extension, the C264, does the same for TO-264 devices, for example, Ohmites TFH85 resistor product.

As with the original C Series heatsink, these new extensions are available in both degreased and black anodized finishes. Custom lengths are available for mounting several parts to a much longer heatsink, and clips can be mixed for mounting different package types onto a common heatsink.
