Parallels Plesk Panel 10.2 Launches Support for Ipv6 As Service Providers Begin To Future Proof Their Offers

Renton, WA (PRWEB) May 12, 2011

Parallels, the hosting and cloud services enablement leader, today announced that it has launched support for IPv6 addresses and Server Name Indication (SNI). This one-two punch allows service providers to future proof against the imminent shortage of IPv4 addresses.

The announcement is part of the Parallels Plesk Panel 10.2 update that provides support of IPv6 on either Linux or Windows servers. Parallels Plesk Panel 10.2 can run each new subscription on IPv4, IPv6 or as a dual stack for both IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously. Service providers can also preserve their existing pool of IPv4 addresses by implementing SNI which allows multiple SSL certificates to be pointed to a single IP address for different domain names.

Parallels Plesk Panel is the only control panel that supports IPv6. It enables us to be an industry leader in seamlessly moving to IPV6, said Patrick Pulverm
