Syntax Hosts First Annual "Olevia Cup" Golf Tournament to Commemorate Dramatic Retail Channel Growth

City of Industry, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2005

Syntax Corporation, one of the fastest-growing manufacturers of LCD TVs in North America, today announced its first annual “Olevia Cup” golf tournament set for Sept. 28 at the prestigious Industry Hills golf course. Hosted by Syntax, the event will assemble executives from Syntax’s retail channel and industry partners, local politicians and international guests for the inaugural golf tournament and a special Olevia LCD TV product showcase.

To kick off the tournament, Syntax will conduct Olevia LCD TV product presentations plus an exclusive preview of its new, high tech video development lab that features a controlled environment for evaluating components, measuring, testing and tuning display performance to optimize Syntax’s Olevia LCD TVs. Syntax will also unveil initial plans for its new premium Olevia LCD TV line designed to provide unparalleled front of screen performance for addressing the ultra high end market.

“We are proud to host the Olevia Cup event to further underscore our ongoing commitment to our valued retailers and industry partners,” said James Li, Chief Executive Officer of Syntax Corporation. “It is through the strength of our relationships, as well as our intense dedication to providing Tier One products at Tier Two pricing, that we have achieved unprecedented success in only 18 months.”

Compared to one year ago, the rapidly increasing popularity of Olevia LCD TVs has enabled Syntax to triple its customer base, and today Syntax has amassed nearly 60 national and regional retailers, online e-tailers, distributors, and specialty retailers across North America. Joining Syntax’s team of national and regional retail partners in Q4 2005 are BJ’s Wholesale Club, Office Depot, K-Mart and Circuit City.

During the Olevia Cup event, Syntax plans to demonstrate to its customers its position of strength going into the hot 2005 holiday buying season. Through the power of its global supply chain infrastructure, Syntax has accumulated ample inventory to support the expected demand for Olevia LCD TVs in the fourth quarter. Compared to its 65,000 Olevia LCD TV sales in Q4 2004, Syntax expects to ship approximately 135,000 TVs in Q4 2005, bringing cumulative shipments in 2005 to approximately 300,000—over three times more than 2004.

Syntax’s Olevia LCD TVs are designed to deliver a total quality digital entertainment experience with superior specifications, affordable prices with great value, and an industry-leading ‘on-site’ warranty. Manufactured with the same high quality panels, video processing chipsets and other key components that are used in Tier One branded products, Olevia LCD TVs yield a two-fold value proposition for consumers—superior performance and affordable prices.
