Presagis Releases Version 5.0 of Vega Prime, Lyra, and Sensor Products

Montreal, QC, Canada (PRWEB) October 26, 2011

Presagis, a leading provider of commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation, and embedded graphics solutions, announced today that it has released versions 5.0 of Vega Prime, Lyra and Sensor Products. These major releases further enable the creation of enhanced 3D scenes for any visualization or training application.

From producing the high levels of visual realism required for immersive environments to achieving positive training results, deterministic real-time 3D performance, and visual accuracy,Presagis visualization products are the key to producing superior 3D scenes for any visualization or training application. Presagis tools provide users with increased productivity and realism, as well as reduced effort and cost when developing visualization applications.

Vega Prime version 5.0

The latest version of Vega Prime, the most productive COTS visualization tool for real-time 3D development and deployment of simulation applications, includes features and improvements that significantly enhance both the realism of scenes, as well as the users ability to achieve optimal performance.

Building on the proven success of the visualization product family, Vega Prime 5.0 enables increased performance and productivity, said Eric Simon, Vice President, Modeling and Simulation Solutions & Services at Presagis. Moreover, by adding new features designed to get the most out of the existing database, with no need to republish, this release empowers the user to add more realism to their visualization applications.

Benefits of Vega Prime v.5.0 include:

Improved utilization of system resources, better handling of data, and more effective tools to enable users to clearly identify performance bottlenecks.
Cross-platform, 60hz deterministic air and ground simulation applications that are completely customizable, scalable, and leverage open standards: Common Database (CDB) and OpenFlight.
SpeedGrass technology from IDV and improved Hyper-Texture Support add higher resolution imagery and ground-level content to applications without the need to invest in new imagery- saving time and money.
Support for 64-bit Windows 7, CDB on Linux, and geo-centric TerraPage database format enables users to maximize interoperability, reusability, and cost savings by leveraging open standards across a wide variety of platforms.
Lyra and Sensor Products new versions include improved features and capabilities based on Vega Prime.

Lyra version 5.0:

As a Vega Prime based application, Lyra takes advantage of many of the same improvements and advancements in Vega Prime. Lyra delivers cross-platform, 60hz deterministic air and ground simulation applications that are scalable, and leverage open standards such as CDB and OpenFlight, enabling the user to maximize interoperability, reusability, and cost savings. In addition to the Vega Prime based improvements, such as CDB on Linux, Lyra version 5.0 also provides improved CIGI message synchronization, as well as additional packet support.

Sensor Products version 5.0

Sensor Products version 5.0 has been enhanced to offer greater performance, realism, and flexibility to users developing infrared (IR) and night vision goggles (NVG) sensor application development. Based on the proven Vega Prime framework, Sensors Products v.5.0 includes support for CDB on Linux, as well as 64-bit platform support, providing customers with additional flexibility in choice of hardware as well as the opportunity to take advantage of platforms that offer the ability to utilize more memory for improved application performance.
