Firan Technology Group Earns 2008 Summit Award at Consona User Conference

Las Vegas, NV, Indianapolis, IN and Toronto, Canada (Vocus) October 16, 2008

Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced at its premier user conference, Consona Connect, that Firan Technology Group (FTG), a Toronto-based supplier of aerospace and defense electronics products and subsystems and Cimnet Systems Paradigm user, is the 2008 recipient of the software providers Transformation Award.

The Transformation Award, part of Consonas annual Summit Awards, honors a customer that has been able to either reinvent its business or achieve a strong return on investment in a relatively short period of time. Recipients of the award submit both qualitative and quantitative data that illustrate how the solution has impacted the customers business model or overall business performance. Award recipients display significant business improvements and changes, such as unprecedented customer satisfaction levels, the introduction of new products and services, or increased sales.

FTG is divided into two operating units: FTG Circuits, which manufactures high technology and high reliability printed circuit boards (PCB) for leaders in the aviation, defense and high technology industries, and FTG Aerospace, which manufactures illuminated cockpit panels, keyboards and sub-assemblies for original equipment manufacturers of avionics products and airframe manufacturers. FTG has relied on the Cimnet Systems Paradigm solution for more than 14 years and, while the company was very satisfied with its DOS-based solution, was painfully aware of the growing difficulties and limitations of trying to keep the underlying IT infrastructure in operation.

When full production resumed on Monday morning, the transition was seamless. It was like a miracle, said Sheryl Hodgson, senior ERP analyst at FTG. They went right to work with the new system with no interruption.

Since FTG upgraded Paradigm to a modern, supportable operating environment with many enhancements and improved ease-of-use, the company has realized numerous important benefits, including:
