This project, Pico C, is a capacitance meter capable of measuring very small capacitances from less than 1 pF up to 2000 pF, with possible extension to 2500 pF and a resolution of 0.1 pF. It uses the ATtiny2313 microcontroller and provides readings on a 2-line LCD. It is calibrated easily with a 1000 pF precision capacitor and is ideal for RF designers and radio amateurs who require more sensitive measurements than typical multimeters offer.

  • 1000 pF 1% reference capacitor

This little instrument, named as Pico C, can be used to measure capacitances down to fractions of a picofarad. It built based on ATtiny2313 microcontroller. It has range: <1 pF to 2000 pF (guaranteed); 2500 pF possible and resolution: 0.1 pF. To read the result, this low cost C meter comes with 2 lines LCD. The project is easy to calibrate with 1000pF 1% reference capacitor.
