All Flex Invests Capital With LDI Purchase

Northfield, MN (PRWEB) February 29, 2012

All Flex Flexible Circuits announced this week it has purchased a Paragon – 9800 laser direct imaging (LDI) system that will improve image quality with fine-line, tight registration accuracy, and high speed performance. This new capability will further improve All Flexs capability to manufacture high density interconnect (HDI) flexible circuits.

The LDI eliminates the need for an artwork phototool. This maskless imaging system saves time and provides increased image resolution. This software driven tooling also allows dynamic adjustment for panel variability and compensates for material distortion

Greg Closser, President, says the investment demonstrates the companys commitment to continuous improvement, All Flex is all about meeting the product and quick response needs of our customers. We believe this investment will help us improve both.

According to Dave Becker V.P. of Sales and Marketing the drive for compact technology goes beyond portable devices, the electronic design community continues to push technology and create greater functionality in a smaller and smaller footprint. With portable electronics this is an obvious requirement, but a wide variety of applications across our medical, military, and aerospace markets also highly value this capability. This state of the art equipment allows All Flex to move forward with improved conductor layer registration and fine line trace definition.

The capital equipment purchased from Orbotech is being displayed this week at the IPC APEX Expo this week in San Diego, CA and will be in place next month at All Flexs Northfield, MN facility.
