Greendale, WI (PRWEB) March 24, 2011

Gerald Theis, CEO of Theis & Associates today announced the launch of My Crisis Record (MCR) at the 2011 Asian Wireless Healthcare Summit. MCR is an mHealth digital record & health information exchange medical device data system (MDDS) that functions as a real-time Personal (Crisis) Health Record and Communication System. Depending on how the system is accessed, either via the web or through MCRs universal smart phone app, users can either print a hard copy or upload directly onto their smart phone a personal ID Crisis Card that contains their vital information embedded within a QR code. When scanned a QR code scanner the code is translated into readable text.

It is estimated that 60 to 70 percent of adverse events in health care occur because of poor communication, and lack of current accurate medical information. Situations can be worse for patients with disabilities or other special needs,” says Theis. My Crisis Records is a product and service that allows consumers or those with special needs, and their caregivers to manage their personal health crisis record either by smart phone, online or stored on a portable USB. Users can go to http://www.mycrisisrecords.com to enter & continuously update relevant health status information, emergency contacts or advanced directives.”

MCR is a standalone fully functional mHealth personal health record (PHR) platform and contains dynamic modules that enable personal health information exchange information to third party electronic medical record (EMR) platforms or instant messaging transmission of vital health information to crisis response team personnel on the scene.

We have approached the American Red Cross, and are currently exploring options to provide MCR as a collaborative care tool to the Japanese Government to assist in the current disaster & recovery management, and future preparedness and medical emergency planning. The platform serves as a useful communication device since the system is capable of proactively sending automated crisis alerts and updates to emergency contacts,” says Theis.

“We are focused on launching MCR on a global scale enabling first responders and emergency room personnel to make knowledge-based assessments, reduce adverse events, and save lives by having access to emergency contact information, current medications, recent illnesses, immunizations, surgeries, and allergies.”
