When SiliconBlue Technologies launched its new series of FPGA-based Custom Mobile Devices, the marketing team wanted to deliver a powerful, fully featured interface providing its global customers with easy access to company news and technical data on mobile devices.
SiliconBlue turned to fellow Silicon Valley-based company Atmio and its mobile marketing software platform for optimized, targeted mobile landing pages. To deliver its message to a range of Asian users, landing pages were created in Japanese, Korean and two versions of Chinese. An English version was created as well.
SiliconBlue chose QR Codes as the connection method to the mobile landing pages that supported the rollout of its new iCE40 Los Angeles FPGA-based Custom Mobile Devices. The QR Codes were embedded in various marketing and technical communications, including technical product briefs. The landing pages in the five different languages contained detailed product launch information and technical specifications; diagrams; a fill-in contact form to immediately connect with the SiliconBlue team; and links to additional product information.
Given that SiliconBlues new products are targeted for smartphone and tablet applications, it was only natural to leverage mobile marketing communications in the launch plan. It was especially important that SiliconBlues content displayed automatically on all mobile devices. Atmios robust platform supports fast and easy development of professional, optimized mobile platforms targeting a diverse audience (or customer base), remarked John Birkner, Director of Strategic Marketing at SiliconBlue. Based on the excellent results, we will develop additional mobile marketing plans utilizing the Atmio Platform, he added.
