Upcoming Meetings Will Solicit Industry Input for the 2011 iNEMI Roadmap

Herndon, VA (PRWEB) February 5, 2010

Work on the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiatives (iNEMIs) 2011 Roadmap begins in earnest this month with the North American kick-off of the roadmaps Technology Working Groups (TWGs). The meeting, hosted by iNEMI member Agilent Technologies, is scheduled for February 23-24 in Santa Clara, Calif.

iNEMI is also scheduling a webinar on March 19 to review information from the Medical and Automotive PEGs with the European market.

The TWG kick-off lays the foundation for the work that will be done between now and September, when final roadmap chapters are due, said Chuck Richardson, director of roadmapping for iNEMI. It brings together the PEGs and the TWGs to review technology requirements by product sector and develop cross-cutting relationships among the various TWGs.”

Were planning the PEG webinar to get input from the European market, Richardson continued. Several leadership companies in both the medical and automotive sectors are based in Europe and we want to be sure that our projections regarding future product needs are on track.

iNEMI membership is not required to participate in the roadmap. For further information about the February TWG kick-off (including agenda and free registration) go to http://www.inemi.org/cms/calendar/2011_RM_NA_Feb10.html/.
