Ableton Inc. is pleased to announce the Ableton Beat Showcase in partnership with Puma and Low End Theory Club on November 4, 2009 in Los Angeles, where top beat-makers will perform live for special prizes from Puma. Prior to the showcase, Ableton will host an exclusive beat-making and product demonstration clinic, and will include product giveaways, special offers and exclusive announcements.
The Ableton Beat Showcase is designed to feature the diverse creative music production and live performance capabilities of the industry’s leading music technology software, Ableton Live. The showcase will consist of various beat-makers from the Low End Theory circuit performing their beats on Ableton Live for the chance to win exclusive prizes, including a limited-edition Puma sneaker designed by Ableton. Guests will have the opportunity to get involved in the beat showcase by participating in the judging process and will be treated to free giveaways from Puma along with special offers.
Prior to the showcase, Ableton will present a creative beat-making clinic hosted by Thavius Beck in which guests will have the opportunity to learn creative tips and tricks on Ableton Live and hear about special Ableton announcements and offers. Product demonstration stations will be set up along with product specialists to give guests an exclusive hands-on, in-person experience with the new Novation Launchpad controller designed specifically for Ableton Live. Odyssey Innovative Designs will be on-site showcasing popular mobile accessories and special giveaways, including a limited-edition Ableton x Odyssey mobile producer accessory pack. In addition, New York-based electronic music production school Dubspot will provide workshop giveaways and special offers for their “Live 8 US Sessions Tour”. Founded by Daddy Kev of Alpha Pup Record, Low End Theory Club serves as the ideal venue to host the showcase and clinic because of its notoriety and success in single-handedly thrusting the LA beat-scene onto the worldwide stage.
