Greenwave Scientific Teams with SelectConnect Technologies to Develop the Evolutionary BULLET Multi-Octave Broadband Antenna

Palatine, IL (PRWEB) September 28, 2011

Greenwave Scientific, a leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose antennas for the US Military and Joint Forces, has teamed with SelectConnect Technologies to provide a lightweight conductive housing for their new Bullet Broadband Antennas. The Bullet is a metal plated, injection molded plastic antenna that is lightweight, durable, inexpensive, and provides multi-octave broadband performance.

We have a unique design and functionality in the Bullet, says Mark Buff, president of Greenwave Scientific. We are tasked with producing a high performance, lightweight, modular multi-purpose unit. The SelectConnect metalization over thermoplastic molding, allows us to make the Bullet rival the durability of much heavier, bulkier metal designs while optimizing performance.

The mating features of the Bullet provide a reconfigurable design that allows integration teams to construct a variety of configurations and polarizations to support various mission objectives quickly and effectively. The Bullet boasts a 1.5-8 GHz frequency range. The metal plated plastic design allows the Bullet to weigh in under 1 lb. per unit. The modular design supports simultaneous operation of multiple radios. The Bullet is ideal for the following applications:

UGV and UAV
