Inphi® Corporation Secures $18 Million in Funding

Inphi® Corporation, the performance leader in precision timing devices and high-speed precision electronic components, today announced it has secured investment funding totaling $ 18 million. New corporate investors and business partner Cadence Design Systems along with strong participation from existing investors, Tallwood Venture Capital, Mayfield Fund, and Walden International, make up the round.

“This level of investment is a testament to the technology and performance leadership Inphi has in high performance electronic components and precision timing devices for the computing and communications markets. Cadence Design Systems and is a respected leader whose support greatly strengthens Inphi’s global market presence,” commented Ashok Dhawan, president & CEO of Inphi Corporation. “Moreover, the commitment Inphi has received from our original and new investors will enable us to dramatically expand both our development and market-focused activities.”

The funding will be used to expand production to meet the increasing demand for Inphi’s DDR2 logic devices as well as to launch Inphi’s Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) in early 2005. Inphi launched a series of logic devices earlier in 2004 and these designs are now moving to production at memory module manufacturers around the world.
