Intelerad Promotes Quality with New Full-Featured Peer Review Solution

Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) November 29, 2011

Intelerad Medical Systems, a leader in medical imaging PACS, RIS and workflow solutions, today unveiled a new embedded Peer Review solution that will be demonstrated at the RSNA annual meeting, Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 in Chicago, Illinois.

Following the example of the American College of Radiologists (ACR), requests to carry out a peer review are presented to radiologists within their regular reading and reporting workflow. Radiologists are requested to conduct a peer review when they open a prior study case that has been flagged for review, or they have the option to complete later from their peer review worklist. Organizations can set peer review quotas per radiologist that pertain to the specialty and qualifications of the radiologist. Complete with a customizable scoring system, Intelerad Peer Review ensures anonymization for radiologists so that reviews can be completed without bias.

Intelerads Peer Review helps organizations significantly raise the bar on quality, said Rick Rubin, Chief Engineering Officer. Our solution is innovative and full-featured. Review discrepancies can be flagged in the system and notifications are dispatched based on severity to enable quick and effective response. Quality-focused organizations can also conduct benchmarking and other important initiatives for superior imaging and results.

Intelerad Peer Review scores are accessed through a web portal, and the solution can be included with Intelerads IntelePACS
