NextWindow, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMART Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SMT) (TSX: SMA), announces the ProfileTouch 4S, the latest addition to its comprehensive line of large-format optical touch screens. The new touch screen features four cameras, one embedded in each corner, enhancing writing performance and offering improved accuracy, gesture recognition and dual writing capability. The optical technology also allows two users to simultaneously interact with the touch screen, enabling increased collaboration. NextWindow will unveil the new ProfileTouch 4S at the Korea Electronics Show (KES), with a demonstration in booth M1475 from October 12 to 15. Korea and KES are important to NextWindow as the company has many original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers in this region.
The ProfileTouch 4S builds on the success of other NextWindow large-format touch screens. A reduced border width enables a thinner, more symmetrical display. The ProfileTouch 4S is available in screen sizes ranging from 32 (81.3 cm) to 72 (182.9 cm), and OEMs can alternate between landscape and portrait modes.
