Northrop Grumman Recognizes TriQuint with Strategic Supplier, Innovation Awards : TriQuint was Only NGES 2008 Supplier Recognized with Two Awards

HILLSBORO, Ore. & RICHARDSON, Texas (PRWEB) August 26, 2008

“We’re extremely proud to be recognized by NGES for our work providing them the best products and service possible,” remarked Dr. Gailon Brehm, Military Products Marketing Director. “Our BAW program leads the industry, and we’re pleased to receive their commendation. As a newly named ‘Strategic Supplier,’ TriQuint will continue serving this important customer with the latest RF power and acoustic filter devices.”

TriQuint was among only 61 NGES suppliers nominated to receive awards. According to a Northrop Grumman spokesperson at the awards ceremony, less than two percent of the company’s suppliers are nominated each year, with less than one percent receiving awards. TriQuint was recognized for its products and service at the NGES Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Mission Assurance (MA) 2008 Supplier Conference held at the Historical Electronics Museum in Linthicum, MD, on July 23rd, 2008.

TriQuint received one of only two ‘Innovation’ awards presented by NGES this year. The award was for development of bulk acoustic wave (BAW) S-Band tuned coupled resonator filter (TCRF) modules. These devices were designed and manufactured at TriQuint’s Bend, Oregon, facility. TriQuint also received a Strategic Supplier Award for support provided by the company’s Richardson, Texas, design and manufacturing center.

“TriQuint excels at meeting the needs of defense and aerospace customers. It’s gratifying to see the dedication of so many hard-working individuals recognized by a major corporate partner,” said Dr. Brehm. “We continually strive to increase performance by offering the industry’s best power and filter high-reliability technology through standard products and our top-rated foundry. Northrop Grumman Corporation has been an excellent customer for many years, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue to exceed their expectations.”
