NuForce Introduces A Six-Inputs High-end Digital-to-Analog Converter

Milpitas, CA (PRWEB) July 20, 2011

The DAC-9s six digital inputs cover the full range of today’s digital formats. Each input feeds a pair of high-performance, non-over-sampling DACs capable of providing up to 24-bit/96kHz performance. The two DACs output is then summed, thereby increasing the signal-to-noise ratio to near theoretical limits. The signal is then input to a proprietary Passive IV digital output filter that utilizes no negative feedback whatsoever, thereby delivering a ripple-free response the high-frequency phase coherence of which is consistently maintained. As a hedge against obsolescence, a small plug-in USB module/interface provides for future upgradeability to higher bit-rate performance.

Following its conversion to analog, the signal passes to a preamplifier stage designed around minimalist principles that again exclude negative feedback. The shortest possible signal paths, lowest-noise components and circuit layouts obtain throughout. When the user selects the Fixed Mode Output, a mechanical relay bypasses the DAC-9s digitally controlled volume attenuator, further enhancing straight-wire-with-gain performance characteristics.

Nor has NuForce neglected headphone listeners. A fully independent headphone stage with its own analog volume control sees to this need. The DAC-9s 6.3mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks further ensure signal purity and convenience.

Pricing and Availability

The NuForce DAC-9 is shipping worldwide immediately for a suggested retail price of US $ 1695.

About Nuforce

Since its inception in 2005, NuForce has devoted itself to the development of exceptional consumer-electronic audio products at reasonable price points. NuForce launched its brand with audiophile-quality switching amplifiers based on patented technology, thereby becoming a leader in audio’s high-end marketplace. Power Amplifier of the Year awards in the United States and Japan attest to this distinction. The company has since expanded into other aspects of consumer electronics. In addition to the celebrated two-channel and mono amps, the product line now includes headphones, loudspeakers, a music server, CD player, DAC, preamp, multi-channel amp, and cables.
