Raima, a premium provider of high performance database technology, today announced the release of Raima Database Manager (RDM) Embedded and RDM Mobile version 11.0.
The RDM Embedded Edition is optimized for real-time, in memory and embedded applications. Platform support includes real-time and embedded operating systems like Green Hills Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, QNX Neutrino, Embedded Linux, and Embedded Windows. These operating systems are typically run on ARM or Power PC processors in addition to the x86 processors. Raimas technical knowledge of these combinations of processor and operating systems are reflected in the optimization of RDM Embedded.
RDM Mobile Edition is for the mobile phone and tablet developer. Currently, the iOS version of the RDM Mobile Edition is being released. An Android version will follow in Q2 of this year. The iOS version of RDM Mobile includes a new Objective C API which provides a familiar object oriented programming interface for Apple developers. The Android version will include a similar Java abstract layer providing Android developers with the same type of object oriented programming interface.
Availability
RDM Embedded and RDM Embedded Plus are available for Windows Embedded, Embedded Linux, QNX Neutrino, Green Hills Integrity, and Wind River VxWorks.
RDM Mobile and RDM Mobile Plus are available for Apple iOS and will be available for Android in Q2-2012.
