Stillman School of Business Joins InetSofts Academic Alliance Program

Piscataway, NJ (PRWEB) November 15, 2011

InetSoft Technology, an innovator in data mashup driven dashboard and reporting solutions, announced that the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University is joining InetSofts Academic Alliance Program with the goal of providing students in the Computing and Decision Sciences department access to BI tools. The Academic Alliance program is a global initiative that offers Universities with the opportunity to use InetSofts BI software within the classroom setting.

For Dr. David Rosenthal, Chair of the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, experience has shown that hands-on learning fosters a deeper understanding of core concepts than reading alone ever could. The department offers both undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative methods and information technology, and found that the Academic Alliance Program would be a natural fit for their data analytics and enterprise wide system courses.

The Computing and Decision Sciences department consistently tries to incorporate real-world experience and tools into the schools curriculum. After seeing the power and flexibility of InetSofts data visualization software, the department thought this would be the perfect vehicle to provide students in a variety of courses exposure to this class of software, said Dr. Rosenthal.

Were pleased to provide the Stillman School with full use of InetSofts operational BI solution, said Mark Flaherty, Chief Marketing Officer at InetSoft. Data analytics have become integral part of day-to-day decision making everywhere from Fortune 500 companies to startups. By providing students with the opportunity to create their own visual analyses, the Stillman School is helping to pave the road toward a bright and rewarding future for these future managers.
