Technic has announced the appointment of Dr. Felix Schwager as Research and Development Director for Technics ATD division in Plainview, NY. Dr. Schwagers primary responsibilities will involve leading the Plainview R&D team in the development of advanced specialty chemical products. He will interface directly with other Technic global R&D locations to facilitate best practices across all chemical product platforms.
Since 1991, Dr. Schwager has been actively involved in key management and development positions with Dow Chemical, Rohm and Haas, Shipley and LeaRonal. During that time Dr. Schwager was involved in expansion of R&D lab facilities, staffing and services as well as customer workshops and technical programming designed to showcase areas of technical expertise. Dr. Schwager has also performed a variety of management roles in overseeing productivity increases, technology-transfer and consulting as well as overall site management.
Dr. Schwager received his Ph.D. from ETH – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich and performed his postdoctoral studies at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory at the University of California in Berkley where he also served as a Staff Scientist.
Dr. Felix Schwager is a highly renowned scientist in the field of research in electroplating chemistry and we are excited to have him join the Technic team.
