Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) July 9, 2006

Sound in Color teams up with Om Records, Spilt Milk, and Massive Selector to bring you the Time Has Come tour beginning in the West Coast from July 21st, 2006 to Sept. 7th, 2006, featuring the stellar music and talents of Exile, J-Boogie, Strange Fruit Project, Blu, Scarub, and Aloe Blacc (plus Mark Farina + Zeph & Azeem for SF Show) live & direct! The second leg of the tour will continue mid-September throughout the Mid-West and East coast, and concluding with a European outing.

With the underground hip hop scene buzzing in recent months about each of these artists, the Time Has Come Tour will display an array of hip hop talent from MCs and songwriters to arguably some of the best dee jay’s on the West Coast. The lineup is considered to be the best combination of ‘on the verge’ talent that hasn’t been a part of the indie hip hop music scene for quite some time. Artist collaborations include Mobb Deep, Erykah Badu, Ghostface Killah and Slum Village just to name a few. Time has truly come for all music lovers to take notice.

Exile (Sound in Color) A decade of work with underground heroes EMANON, plus various production credits ranging from Mobb Deep to Jurassic 5, has paved the road for Exile’s hip-hop dissertation, aptly titled ‘Dirty Science. Featuring dynamic collaborations with Ghostface Killah, Slum Village, Kardinall Offishall and MED, Exile redefines the various styles within hip-hop music on ‘Dirty Science. Added to the mix in his stable of MCs include Aloe Blacc, Blu, Ta’Raach (p/k/a Lacks), Ca$ hius King (Co$ $ ), Donel Smokes, Trek Life, Oh No, Johas, Blame One, plus the golden voice of Jontel on cuts like Summertime In LA, complete Exile’s journey in fresh MU.SIC!

Blu (Sound in Color) As an MC, Blu gives hope for hip-hop’s next generation of wordsmiths. Representing Bridgetown, Blu’s street buzz has bubbled from performances alongside Emanon, KRS One, Steve Spacek, Platinum Pied Pipers and Slum Village. Rocking shows with veterans of the game has molded him into a force all his own, gaining worldwide appeal and fans internationally.

Strange Fruit Project (OM Hip Hop / Spilt Milk) – Myone, Myth and Symbolyc One (S1) are Strange Fruit Project; three emcees that continue to set trends as not your typical Southern hip-hop group. Through innovative production and creative lyrics their music separates them from many independent artists. SFP’s 2004 release, Soul Travelin’, was an underground beat banging collector’s item which included hip-hop and soul at the root of its origin. Some highlights from that LP included the single ‘All The Way’, being nominated by BBC Radio for 2004 Song of the Year. SFP’s 2006 LP, The Healing, is nothing short of a classic, carving out their own niche in this hip-hop game, earning respect as emcees and original songwriters. The Healing includes a young dream team of producers such as Jake One (G-Unit, Lloyd Banks, De La Soul), Illmind (Common, Dave Ghetto, Supastition), 9th Wonder (Little Brother, Jay Z, Destiny’s Child), Nicolay (Foreign Exchange) and Vitamin D (Rah Digga, Black Sheep, Choklate, Blackalicious) just to name a few. The Healing also includes special guests: Erykah Badu, Little Brother, Darien Brockington, and singer-songwriter Thesis. This album is set to be in stores July 25th.

Aloe Blacc (Stones Throw) Aloe Blacc is constantly writing and producing new music. After releasing two self-produced EPs, he is now working on a debut solo album. “The Waiting Room,” a long awaited LP from EMANON will release in March of 2005 on Shaman Work Recordings. Ever reaching into new dimensions of expression, Aloe Blacc is also working on new music with his band, The Breakdown, as well as several notable producers.

J-Boogie (OM Records) J-Boogie has honed his craft as an artist in the Bay Area music scene, both in clubs and on the radio with the award-winning program “Beatsauce” on KUSF 90.3fm. Voted “San Francisco’s Best Radio & Club DJ” by citysearch.com and “Best Hip-Hop Radio Show” by SF Bay Guardian, J-Boogie consistently delivers the goods with smokin, sexy, party-rockin DJ sets. He has played alongside some of the industry’s most talented performers including Mark Farina, Talib Kweli, Kruder and Dorfmeister, People Under the Stairs, King Britt, DJ Greyboy, DJ Spinna, DJ Krush, DJ Vadim, Marc Rae, Mix Master Mike and more! This is a deejay set you don’t want to miss.

Scarub (Living Legends) Known for his swift, sharp, and clear delivery, combined with a playful wit, and in-depth lyrics, Scarub has become a well-known artist within the underground hip-hop circuit as a member of The Living Legends crew. He has created his own style and sound that can be compared to no other. Influenced by a wide range of musicians that vary from The Roots, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, to Slum Village, Scarub’s music covers a wide range of concepts, topics and perspectives. Joining the rap group Living Legends in 1999, Scarub has toured The United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan, numerous times performing with and touring alongside groups such as The Licks, Slum Village, Crown City Rockers, Heiroglyphics, De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Black Star, and Nas.

As a solo artist, Scarub has released five albums with his forthcoming 2006 release, One For The Road, due out in the near future.
