Microtech Systems and TEAC Europe GmbH Announce the New DiscSprinter 300 Publishing System

Foster City, CA (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

Microtech Systems, a global leader in digital CD/DVD/BD production systems, announced today a worldwide agreement with TEAC to resell the DiscSprinter 300 publishing system. The new system was introduced last week at the TEAC kickoff event in Wiesbaden, Germany where key customers from most of Europe gathered for a TEAC conference.

“It’s exciting to see the relationship between the two companies expand even faster than we imagined,” said Don McMahan, Executive Vice President of Microtech Systems. “We are extremely pleased to see TEAC taking this Microtech manufactured and TEAC branded system into new markets where they have a strong presence.” According to McMahan, the product was jointly developed by TEAC and Microtech Systems and offers a new level of functionality and a price point that will be very competitive in the marketplace.

“The entry point for the 300 disc system with our P-55C Thermal Re-transfer, photo quality printer (the world`s only dye-sublimation disc printer) will be under 11,000 euros,” said Petar Stojcevic, Sales and Marketing Director for TEAC Europe, “giving us a very compelling offering in the low to mid range market. With the Microtech Xpression single color black thermal printer we will have even more interesting options and a competitive edge in the European market. The reseller community has been waiting for a product like this.

The DiscSprinter 300 will feature a 4 spindle delivery system, choice of 3 recording drives from CD, DVD to BRD; and also be a standalone, networkable PC based system. The reliable Microtech Systems robotics from the Xpress family is integrated as well as a new optional “mail slot” output chute with 20 disc capacity. The unit features a locking glass door and status light bar on top and a choice of either the Teac P55 photo quality printer or the black only output of the Microtech Systems Xpression(TM) printer. An ImageAligner 3 camera can also be added for pre-printed media. Microtech System’s ImageMaker(TM) disc production software is also included.

TEAC will add the DiscSprinter 300 to their full line of Microtech Systems Xpress products, the fully automated robotic disc publishing systems with integrated printing options, 200-800 disc capacities, embedded Windows 7 PC servers, and the robust Microtech disc publishing software including a full complement of API integration options. The DiscSprinter 300 is available immediately from both TEAC Europe and TEAC USA.
