Amulet and Mantaro Extend Product Design Partnership Based on Amulet's Graphical User Interface Solutions

Germantown, MD (PRWEB) June 4, 2009

Technologies, a leader in graphical user interface (GUI) solutions, announced today that Mantaro, a product development services firm, became an official design partner for Amulet’s full range of GUI Chips and Software.

With Mantaro’s knowledge of Amulet’s chipset and graphics tool set, along with experience in custom product development, Mantaro can offer a complete custom packaged solution for products that require a GUI interface. Mantaro’s experience in developing a broad range of embedded systems along with Amulet’s Graphic OS chip will allow customers to quickly develop products with a feature rich graphical user interface.

“Mantaro’s experience in working with a wide range of industries from Consumer and Telecom to Industrial, Medical and Transportation strengthens Amulet’s GUI design support for customers in these vertical markets,” said Nicole Coleman, Amulet’s Marketing Director. “We have customers that require design support at various levels and are impressed by Mantaro’s full range of scalable product development services and talented engineers, who will assist joint customers that are looking for a complete product design down to support for the GUI implementation only.”

“Intuitive touchscreen user interfaces are in high demand these days and companies are looking for ways to quickly integrate them into many of their products,” said Kamal Kapadia, Mantaro’s Business Development Manager. “We are excited to offer our customers a quick and elegant solution for GUI implementation. Amulet’s cost effective, graphical user interface technology combined with Mantaro’s design expertise will create additional value for our customers.”

Amulet’s fully-integrated, single-chip GUI sub-system ICs offer a plug-and-play solution for any OEM wishing to add a color touch screen interface to its products. These GUI ICs include Amulet’s embedded Graphical OSTM, which manages all graphics rendering and servicing of user interaction with external input devices such as touch buttons, sliders, or touch screens. This is all done independently of the system microcontroller; the embedded control code does not need to be re-written, and all the MCU’s resources can be dedicated to the application. Amulet’s Graphical OSTM eliminates the need for conventional operating systems such as Win CE or Linux that would typically be required to run an interactive GUI.

About Amulet Technologies:

Founded in 1998, Amulet is a recognized industry leader in graphical user interface (GUI) solutions. Amulet’s unique Graphical OS in Silicon enables manufacturers to cost-effectively implement a visually appealing GUI into their products to enhance the end user’s experience. Amulet’s display solutions – which range from display controller chips to fully integrated modules – simplify the product development cycle by separating GUI development from the application’s development. This approach dramatically reduces time to market and overall system costs. More information can be found at the Amulet Technologies website.
