DuraComm Expands Its Product Portfolio with Several New DIN Mountable LVD Units, DC to DC Power Converters and Wind Power Generators

North Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) April 2, 2011

The creative technical team at DuraComm has been busy developing several new products that made their market debut at the IWCE (International Wireless Communications Expo) show in Las Vegas last month. These include Low Voltage Disconnect units that are DIN mountable, a complete series of DC to DC Power Converters and two Wind Power Generators.

Five new products comprise the DIN-LVD Series. The first offers 75 Amps (Max), two others offer 50 Amps (Max) and the remaining two provide 30 Amps (Max). Low Voltage Disconnects stop battery damage due to excessive discharging; they disconnect the battery when it falls below a preset voltage threshold and then reconnect once voltage is restored to a preset level. Each of these LVD’s can be installed on DIN Rail TS-35/7.5 or 15.

Joe White, DuraComm’s Senior Product Manager, points out: “as with all LVD’s, this series protects equipment that is sensitive to low voltage during battery operation and helps extend battery life by preventing over-discharge. They protect radio equipment by keeping it from operating at low battery voltages, thereby preventing potential microprocessor and memory problems. The disconnect and reconnect points are adjustable to meet a wide variety of system needs and battery requirements.”

The new DCDC Series of rack mount power converters is offered in the following five configurations / models.

DCDC-24-12 offers 60 Amps with 12 VDC,

DCDC-24-24 offers 25 Amps with 24 VDC,

DCDC-48-12 offers
