Green Earth Recycling Partners with Circuit City and Sony to Host Electronics Recycling Event Sept 9-10

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 8, 2006

Green Earth Recycling announced today it will be operating its E-recycling kiosk event in partnership with Sony and Circuit City on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 10 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. all weekend.

Community members are invited to bring their old electronic equipment to the Circuit City store located at 11710 Carmel Mountain Road (the kiosk will be located next to Circuit City). Every recycling patron will receive a $ 10 Circuit City gift card (limit one per day per household), and everybody who recycles a TV at least of at least 20 will receive a Green Earth / Circuit City / Sony coupon good for $ 100 toward the purchase of a Sony HDTV. Items accepted include TVs, computers, cellular phones, monitors, printers, stereos and most other types of electronic scrap items (excluding kitchen appliances).

This is a unique opportunity for consumers to make sure that their old gear is retired responsibly without having to find a traditional scrap yard to do so, says Josh Turchin, founder of Green Earth Recycling. We are very grateful to Circuit City and Sony, two of Americas proudest brands, for leveraging their visibility to make the vital function of e-recycling more user-friendly and accessible than it has ever been before.

Green Earth guarantees that any data left on devices, such as hard drives and mobile phones, will be destroyed and that 100% of the material received will be spared from the waste stream. For recycling questions contact Green Earth Recycling at 858.504.1800 or visit Green Earth online at
