Louis E. Grever Joins Qbase, LLC as Senior Vice President for Product and Services Development

Qbase, LLC of Reston, VA announces the addition to their senior management team of Mr. Louis E. Grever, recently retired Executive Assistant Director for the FBIs Science and Technology Branch. Serving as Qbase Senior Vice President for Product and Services Development, Mr. Grever will play a key role in the origination, development, and delivery of unique tools, systems, and capabilities that support both the government and private sectors. Qbase boasts core strengths in delivering innovative solutions to Big Data challenges; transforming and enriching structured and unstructured data; and geo-enabling information so that linkages, associations, and patterns can be exposed.

Mr. Grever served 24 years with the FBI and during that career, rose to the upper echelon of FBI leadership. Serving directly under FBI Director Robert Mueller, Mr. Grever was directly accountable for all FBI biometrics, forensics, and operational technology programs and investments. He executed an annual budget of more than $ 1.4B and his branch was staffed by more than 8,000 FBI agents, technologists, scientists, embedded contractors, and other specialists.

 

Appointed to the Executive Assistant Director position in October 2008 by Director Mueller, Mr. Grever oversaw the FBI Laboratory, Criminal Justice and Information Services (CJIS), and Operational Technology Divisions until his retirement in February 2012. He also managed specialized programs and capability forward deployed in all FBI field offices and in international locations. Mr. Grever and his personnel played key roles in the U.S. governments efforts to combat terrorism, hostile intelligence activities, and crime.

 

Mr. Grever is well known and highly respected within the Intelligence, law enforcement, homeland security, and defense communities and has been recognized for forging strong and productive relationships with partners in both the U.S. and overseas. He has served as a member of the White House Committees on Homeland and National Security (CHNS), Technology (CoT), and Science (CoS), and the Director of National Intelligences Science and Technology Advisory Committee (NIST-C). Mr. Grever holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration and Management, as well as a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.
