Summit Wireless Audio Surround Sound Developers Conference – China

Campbell, CA (Vocus) July 22, 2009

Focus Enhancements, Inc., a leading supplier of wireless audio technologies is hosting a developers conference and training seminar for consumer electronics and original design manufactures (ODMs) in Shenzhen, China on July 27, 2009. The training seminar will demonstrate how the company’s Summit wireless (FS848) integrated circuit, enables home audio systems to deliver high-resolution, distortion-free audio with ease, using the recently opened 5GHz UNII band spectrum including performance and features that were previously unavailable in wired and wireless audio solutions.

Attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the differentiating attributes of Summit technology and how it is creating a new product category by solving critical issues that have plagued the wireless and wired audio surround sound market for years. These features include automatic speaker detection, speaker mapping, and speaker channel assignment with SpeakerFinder and audio sweet spot calibration with MyZone that in seconds produces a time aligned sound field for the listener by adjusting phase, delay and volume to their listening position. Summit technology delivers an uncompressed, 48KHz, 24bit sample rate scalable up to 7.1 channels of audio with 2ms end-to-end latency, using 8 overlapping layers of link protection to ensure robustness of the wireless link.

The development forum is open to all speaker, television and consumer electronics audio equipment manufactures.

The conference will be held on July 27th, at the Marko Polo Hotel Shenzhen, China. Representatives from Focus Enhancements will be present along with key partners enabling the Summit development and manufacturing infrastructure, including audio video receiver module makers and equipment ODMs. Attendees will gain an understanding of the digital wireless market and its opportunities, competitive trade-offs of wireless technologies including Summit’s differentiating features and its system integration.
