The Most Trusted Open Source Digital Asset Management System Has a New Version Available Now for Download

London, UK (PRWEB) June 15, 2011

Razuna Ltd today announced the release of version 1.4.5 of its flagship product, which is a major upgrade to the worlds most used open source Digital Asset Management System. Having seen major adoption in many worldwide organizations it is both free to download and use. Razuna is based entirely on an open source technology stack and has been downloaded thousands of times since its original release.

Nitai Aventaggiato, Founder of Razuna Ltd says – Razuna 1.4.5 brings low cost digital asset management to every organization, and dramatically reduces the barrier to organize and collaborate on your media library, be it video, audio, images, or documents.

Our customers already enjoy the benefit of managing and accessing all of their digital asset management requirements with Razuna. With Razuna 1.4.5 weve made it even easier to collaborate with your clients and customers on projects.

This release continues to build on Razunas history of delivering low-cost, innovative and Enterprise enabled Digital Asset Management solutions. Here are, but a few, new features available in the Razuna 1.4.5 release:

Widgets – Share and collaborate on your assets with the ease. Widgets allow you to publish, share and collaborate on any given folder or collection on any site by simply embedding a widget. This allows assets to be available outside of Razuna. Assets can also be displayed with either a thumbnail view or slideshow.

Browsing Subfolders – In line with the release of Widgets, we have also enabled browsing through subfolders in the general folder view, shared folders and within a widget. This permits users to drill into all available shared folders via collections or widgets.

Single Asset View – allows you to combine all assets into a single view, for convenience. Based on feedback from our customers, as more and organizations continued to move to Razuna, the need for a unified view was raised. For instance, you may have different versions of your assets deployed on You Tube, Vimeo, Flickr and SoundCloud or simply want to upload already converted assets to Razuna. Previously this could only be achieved by creating new asset records. By using the new Additional Versions functionality one can simply point an existing asset, either on the net or upload into Razuna. The combined, single or unified view will display not only the original asset, but all its different converted formats and version.

Performance Enhancements – Razunas codebase and Javascript libraries have undergone a complete rewrite. As a result our users will experience a tremendous performance boost, thus allowing customers to find and serve digital assets more quickly and conveniently.

Razuna is available at http://razuna.org. Customers have options to use our preconfigured Razuna Virtual Server, download the dedicated Razuna Standalone Server or a deploy to a J2EE-Server with the Razuna WAR/EAR distribution.

As an alternative Razuna is also available as a Hosted Solution over at http://razuna.com. Razuna Cloud Server is also available for teams and organizations who require a dedicated server.
