Amulet Announces New GUI Controller Boards Compatible with Tianma LCD Displays

Campbell, CA (PRWEB) June 30, 2011

Amulet Technologies, a recognized leader in high-performance graphical user interface (GUI) solutions for embedded systems, announced today the availability of two new plug-and-play production display controller boards for driving popular Tianma 480×272 TFT displays. Effective immediately, these controller boards will be available through Future Electronics.

The new Amulet GEMboard solutions – CB-TA-TM043NBH02 and CB-TA-TM047NBH01 are designed specifically to support the Tianma 4.3 and 4.7 480×272 TFT displays. These controller boards feature the GEM Graphical OS Chip for color displays. Using Amulets GUI design software tool, GEMstudio, user interfaces can be quickly and easily developed to support a variety of embedded applications. These boards can drive 24-bit color, plus 8-bit alpha blending (transparency channel) to drive graphics found in high-end consumer electronic products.

Adding the new Amulet GEMboards to our line of graphic user interface solutions will enhance the options available to embedded designers in implementing smartphone-like GUIs into their products, states Sean Nantel, Display Solutions Product Manager at Future Electronics. Amulets product solutions are synergistic with our mission of providing outstanding technical solutions to our customers.

Customers are looking for fast and easy solutions for driving displays in production. We have been using these controller boards in our 4.3 and 4.7 LCD Evaluator Kits. Customers can go immediately from prototype to production without missing a beat states Jim Todd, Sales Director at Amulet.

GEMboard customers, like all Amulet customers, can experience the unique benefits of designing their GUI with GEMstudio, the easiest, fastest and most flexible graphical user interface (GUI) design software in the embedded space. GEMstudio integrates tools for visual layout, interactive PC based simulation, and programming of the flash memory in the target embedded hardware. Its a true WYSIWYG GUI design tool that requires no coding for the GUI design. Using the GEMstudio drag-and-drop GUI development environment for creating color touchscreen human-machine-interfaces (HMIs) for embedded systems allows designers to create smartphone-like user interfaces in days or weeks, instead of months, or years.
