Spares Management
·Spares Management tracks the commissioning and decommissioning of devices from the network to better manage the repair and replacement process, allowing customers to manage the entire network equipment lifecycle for spare devices, cards and cables from purchase through retirement.
·Seamless integration with Visionael Studio enables operations personnel to find and deploy the proper spare quickly and easily.
Network Design/Engineering
·Drag & drop functionality that decreases the time required to connect and add new devices by up to 50 percent, as well as allows devices to be moved to and from the graphics window.
·Palettes and templates for adding new objects to the Visionael Repository through simple drag & drop operations.
·Increased Windows support that includes the ability to copy diagrams and physical views to a “clipboard” for use in other applications.
·Network diagram improvements including new line styles and curves, grouping functions and auto-layout capabilities.
Data Collection
·New intuitive application programming interface (API) to customize the data collection process.
·Java-based reconciliation features that match the As-Built object with the actual network device.
·Exception management tools that help plan and carry out reconciliation.
Network Device Library
·Obsolete tagging retires out-of-production devices from the Visionael Library, preventing further use in future designs.

Visionael 6.6 supports Windows NT/98/2000 at the client layer, Sun Solaris 2.7/2.8 and Windows NT/2000 in the middle-tier. At the database layer, Visionael supports Oracle 8.1.7.
